************************* NEW UPDATE ***************** From Computer World: Puppet government to blame Due to our system of elections, our government officials owe more to corporations than to the American people. Therefore, they find it to be in their best interest to obey corporate interests in every case. As far as I'm concerned Marx was right and we are rapidly approaching a state of things where his strategy could be employed to a greater or lesser extent, i.e. international unionization. The internet is the key. I think for American workers to see themselves pitted against other countries is the way the corporations would like us to see things. But meanwhile they continue to profit while we squabble. We don't need protection against foreign workers -- we need protection against the corporations. What do you think of this? |
