Abuse from police against blacks in Loiza. And how do you know who calls who negros??? Do you live in Dominican Republic to tell? Dominican Republic is diverse more diverse than Puerto Rico and they have alot of Black musicians and baseball players on the scene. Like I said Dominicans and Haitians have problems because they share the same Island. More reason that I know this because I'm Puerto Rican who lived on the Island years ago. I know how they treat black people because I am black myself how you going to tell my I dont know what Im saying.

Talking The bottom line is...

...there is no room for Dominicanos in Puerto Rico,if they want to reach the U.S. they should do like the Haitians and
sail to Florida.
God forbid Puerto Rico become a state, then every stray dog from Latin America will end up at our shores.
And drkid you are attempting to make it a racial issue but the fact is we dont want Dominicans there no matter what race they are Puerto Rico does not need any refugees running around adding to the islands problems.
DOMINICANOS STAY HOME!!!

Cool lol

You're trying to change the subject. Dominicans and Haitians are going to have problems because they share the same Island not mattering their race.
HaitiankID187

I am not changing the subject. The same reasons why Dominicans donot like Haitianas are the same or similar reasons why Puerto Ricans donot get along with Dominicans.
Now this sad story of ours is due to colonialism and ingnorance.
Donot come with this crap that they donot get along because they ocupy the same island. I am sure if Spain was next door to DR Dominicans would have no problem being next to Spain.

There are more Afro-Dominicans its nothing about racism but the two contries ego.
Haitiankid187

What two centuries ago? 1844? lol Spain did worst than the Haitians and Dominicans forgave the Spanish!

Puerto Ricans hate on Haitians also so dont even try that.
Haitiankid187

I already did haitiano! Due to colonialism we accept more the crackers just like Dominicans do.

Why you got the Cuban flag if you know Cubans dont relate to other hispanic groups.
nenehaitiano187

All conservative groups are like that even us Puerto Ricans and Spanish Haitians

The Cuban tends to be conservative far away from the left. If Cubans didn't like Americans hundreds wouldn't try to cross to Florida every month.
nenehaitiano187

Maybe you should go to Cuba and find out. Second Cubans donot come to the US because of political reasons they leave due to the economic blockade or economic reasons.

You can go to Cuba and live with Fidel and get your monthly roll of toilet paper if you hate the Americans.
nenehaitiano187

your lack of information is a sad one. I also love the United States. Because an individual questions a government
it does not mean they hate the people. If your theory is correct I must be an anti Puerto Rican.

It is true what Boricua said, Puerto Rico is an over crowded/populated Island Nation. Over population creates a systematic and array of social problems and crimes. Puerto Rico already had problems within Ricans alones, Dominicans or any other ethinic group only makes it worst. When our Brothers next store come to our Island, first of all they risk their lives in the dangerous waters and when their boats turn over and many die...I feel for them so much.

secondly, Dominicans within their own Island are such in financial depression that as they arrive to the Island and see how easy is to become a Caitalist and make money...they actually succeed, some even more then Puertoricans, including the criminals and the legit ilegals.

Thirdly, if you see how certain of our pueblos are innundated by Dominicans, how some position are filled by our neighbors...this decreases opportunities for our own Ricans, regardsless how legit these Dominicans arrive into Puerto Rico they affect our own Ricans.

Forth, Dominicans are very Nationalistic, once they gain an inch of power in PR and understand our politics, they actually get bold and defiant, for example; they organize Parades displaying Dominicans flags showing defiance in a political developing Nation as Puerto Rico. Currently, dominicans have an enormous power in PR politics they can actually, if not control any out come of PR political issues.

Fifth, they also once in ownership of Business they only hire Dominicans not Puertoricans...so they do not help our economy...in fact, they send there profit to Dominican family left behind in their nations.

Sixth, Before 911 for most PR was only a stepping stone since the Manhanttan Heights or AMerica was their final destination, now those whom have intended to cross vi athe Airport have been caught and sent back to thier nation.

Seventh, Many Dominicans, also indicate that Puerto Rico has no control of their future and that only the US laws are in effect ( I think they are not lying), they execute their rights for their own benefits. Dominicans know that a statehood makes PR an easy target to survive within PR, they also know that as an Independent Nation a Republica, they surely will be sent back to RD, If PR becomes a Nation Soveriegn Nation, they can not execute rights protecting their unique objectives.

Lastly, We must place reason in perspective and do not confuse facts with so call racism or prejudice. We Puerto Ricans must protect our small Island of 35x100, We must remember that Puertorricans within the Island are less then 3.8 millions...and daily many are moving to Florida, Dominicans are nearly over 10 millions, and hundreds are invading our Island. The issue stems from the following facts:

We Ricans speak Puertorrican spanish, Dominicans speak Dominicans spanish.

We Ricans eat sancocho, Dominicans eat Mangu.

We Ricans have our own tradition and culture as well as our own values, Domincans, also have there own.

What I am trying depict here is that if we do not take control of our borders, Puerto Ricans will disappear as a Puerto Rican entity...that simple!
saludos

What about crime in the DR?

Last week, the Deacon of my parish traveled to the Dominican Republic with his son in law, a doctor, and their families, a total of 14 people. Minutes after they left the airport they were stopped by a group of assailants and were robbed of EVERYTHING,icluding their mini-van and the driver. At one point they were all lined-up and they believed they were going to be executed right on the spot. Luckily they were let go. When they reported the crime to the police they told them never to come to the DR at night and they did nothing else. This was the fourth or fifth time this has happened to arriving families that same week. Apparently they spot the "hit" at the airport and then phone their associates with the particulars. So, If you are thinking of travelling to the DR be aware of this situation and take all the neccessary precautions or stay at resorts were you don't even come in contact with the natives.

Cool Our Spanish Haitians Brothers/Sisters

Actually the Dominican Republic's crime rate is way lower than Puerto Rico's crime rate.

Chao! Glorimar
