It also demonstrates that Puerto Rican anti-communists should be heard and not dismissed so quickly. On the other hand Eddier and Suki will also rejoice, but will have to go into hiding quickly in order to avoid the back lash.

L.F, you are sick! The NYT is a rag; it is not the Washington Post, the top
newspaper in the U.S.. You, in your dementia, can't see that the Times is
using any event to try and create controversy, and boost its flagging
sales.

Even the anticommunists on this forum have no use for you. They know
that you are an instigator, sitting on the fence, and throwing rocks in
both directions, (just like the Spaniards were when they found it too
difficult to think outside the box of their own Cathloic culture). You are
incapable of having an agenda and being consistent to it. You are
therefore unqualified for a Politics forum, and are simply a disrupter
of others who have agendas with respect to Puerto Rico. You are

information and knowing my great, great, great grandparents, and my
present day grandparents all of whom were born in Puerto Rico, with
the exception of one who was many centuries ago a Capt. in the
Spanish Army from Mallorca. And he married my great, great, great
grandmother whose parents came from the Canary Islands.

You are perhaps unknowingly pulling a Maitreya EL Jibaro, who a few

Don't take it off your frustrations on me that your 19th century revolution hasn't taken off.

The most we can do is live with what we have and try to work to change it until the revolution comes along.

On another note, I don't recall ever having been wishy washy on Vieques.
The most I could have said is that the abandonement of Vieques would depend on how fast the interests of the Empire were changing.

I was surprised how fast their interests changed. Yes , Ruben was a catalyst. As an intelligent man he knew what was coming down the pike and took the chance, HE HIT THE LOTTO, he took all the credit! And hey, more power to him , that's how history is made.

On the other hand The statehooders, still stuck in the cold war, can't seem to understand what's happening. An example of this is the obsession of many here with Fidel Castro, "un cohete explotao del 60", and a refusal to think on their own without being the "Fotutos" of the Cuban exile community.

"Expose", "unconsciously" , umm no, I never hid anything about my family
tree, and even the Maitreyas of this forum could attest to that.

In your penultimate post, you challenged, albeit in 'endagando' mode, my
Puertorriquenidad. And that was crude of you, and needed a reply to
set you straight. Now, after also issuing a "COOL IT" command, like it
was an eleventh commandment of the ten commandments of Moses, you
give me the impression of harboring some desire to be a Moses leading
the Puerto Ricans through a waste land;... PRs. who have a natural right
to an independent country of their own. Racism seems another of your
cynical interests, and you ignore that it is a topic that was fully
explored and discussed on the forum ad nauseaum in the DA_REALEST
threads. Where were you then about discussing the white, blacks, and
