Although this topic is not about Puerto Rico it nevertheless affects us all.
Puerto Ricans are sent over to fight the forces of evil vs. the forces of righteousness in the Middle East, but is this a simplistic way of thinking?

There are forces working behind the scene that most of us never take into consideration, less so the American press (Fox News) which is myopic and contributing to seal Israel's fate.

Nations come and go and Israel's days might be numbered because of myopic policies coming out of Jerusalem and Washington. However Most people on this planet have a higher "political IQ" and get the gist of what is happening.

The first thing I think we should do is to put things straight!

1-Israel is not fighting Hammas, Hezbollah or some generic Arab entity , its fighting PALESTINEAN organizations! In reality its an Israeli-Palestinean war on two fronts.

There was a time when Golda Meir was asked about the "Palestineans" and she responded, "Palestineans, what's that?"

I thought we've come long way from that mentality, but under the Bush Administration it's back to the 60's.

Acknowledging that there is a national entity called PALESTINEANS goes a long way in solving the problem. However, Israelis and Americans prefer the generic, "terrorists", "Hammas", "Hezbollah" "Al Qaida", and what else comes down the line , but PALESTINEANS, what's that?

HOWEVER, behind the scenes there is a larger crisis looming for the Israeli state, "ITS DEMOGRAPHICS!"

With a huge birthrate that is out stripping the Jews, Palestineans will eventually become a MAJORITY within the Jewish state + occupied territories.

How long can a MINORITY rule an angry MAJORITY? That is a question most Americans refuse or don't have the IQ to realize.

What I think will happen.

Israel will not give back the Occupied West Bank. Its settlers, mostly composed of religious racist zealots from Brooklyn, will seal Israel's fate.

Possible solution, but most will think its a joke.

At this point a two state solution is a lost cause. Israel will have to become a Bi-national, secular state of Palestineans and Jews in order to survive. It will loose its exclusive Jewish character and become a nation like Canada or Spain, bi national and bilingual. Yes, there will be problems but the alternative might be worse.

The worse case scenario.

2- Sometime by mid-century, Jews will be overwhelmed by an angry and hostile Palestinean majority who will eventually drive them all back to Europe.

In fact, its already happening. Young Jews are begining to see the writing on the wall, they are emmigrating from Israel. In America we only see Jews at JFK going there to fight and give support, but only a handful will contributing to enhance the falling demographics among Israeli Jews. Its a disaster waiting to happen!

I find it quite simplistic of you to lump all the American media as being FOX. That shows how misinformed you are. You cannot see that CBS, NBC, ABC, Washington Post, Miami Herald, Detroit Press, NY Times, Chicago Times, LA Times, DesMoines Register, CNN, WNPR, just to name a few... plus all the Journalism schools at major Universities are all anti-Conservatism and leftist. Your reference to Fox as representing the US media is hilarious in that it shows you have a few missing parts of the cerebelum.

As for Israel, it does not matter whether they are outnumbered, they have one major difference that no other nation has. You can figure that one out. It is as plain as daylight... but then again... you are myopic and think that Fox represents the media in the USA.

Israel is a surrogate for the U.S. in the Middle East. The U.S. gov't wants it that way -- even though it is a stupid policy, since what the U.S. is desperate for, i.e., OIL, the state of Israel does not have any of it.

Only the Arab states has oil aplenty, and if the U.S. dreams that it can conquer oil rich arab states by using the Israelis as a surrogate it is only foolish. Israel is not reliable as a surrogate, and will go its own way when push comes to shove.

It is true that the U.S. holds the purse strings in regard to providing Israel with huge amounts of foreign aid, BUT even that is drying up as the U.S. becomes deeper and deeper a debtor nation owing almost a trillion in debt to the PRC. China holds the notes on that debt and each and every day the debt grows larger as the PRC buys up the new notes caused by the U.S. trading internationally.

Israel knows all of this, and will betray their status of surrogate the moment the U.S. can no longer afford to fork over the annual foreign assistance to Israel. To the Jew, the U.S. is a goyim nation, and the goyims are the traditional enemies of the Jews as much as the semitic Arabs are.

Note: there is nothing I wrote above that is anti-semitic, but hard facts. And I think that to accuse LFM of being anti-semitic and/or a commie sympathizer is wrong, too, and an effort to intimidate him from posting on the issue of the Israeli and Arabs that has nothing to do with communism, but is instead a totally regional issue of the Middle East. How acute and askew are religionist "fundies" who post on this forum from a standpoint shot through and through with religious presuppositions already determined in advance. The atheistic Fundie tries to be the Supreme Being again. Yes, you are a fundie though you don't want to admit it.
