Oh, brother! Not only is the title deceptive, but anyone who claims that what Chavez said was a threat, either doesn't know how to read or is an idiot.

What Chavez said was that he has a huge sea he needs to defend and clearly gave plausible islands from where attacks could come from.

We need a bigger word now, the word hype just isn't big enough for all the manure out there.

You know, if it wasn't for our donkey President, George W. Bush, we would have much better relations with Venezuela. If Bush came after you, just because you won an election in your country and he didn't like your ideology, you would want to defend your ass as well.

Maybe Chavez is saying that because he has read history and have seen how, PR and the islands of the Caribbean have been the springboard and military base to many many US barbaric attacks on the peoples of the Americas for more than a century. The list goes on for the malvados americanos, invasions, assasinations, coupe de etats, training of criminals at the School of the Americas ( trained to go back and kill their own people), economic sanctions and political preassure. We've seen their actions in Haiti (many times), the Dominican Republic (several times), Nicaragua, El Salvador, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, Puerto Rico, etrc., etc., all in the name of the Monroe Doctrine, except with Argentina were the US sided with England during the Malvinas episode and forgot their own doctrine. Nuclear weapons were kept at Roosevelt Roads and other military instalations in PR, now, even thou the Comando Sur is out of the island, PR still plays a big role in being a proxy of the US in attacking the sovereingnity of the countries of the Americas. Our Donkey President already tried a coupe de etat on Chavez but no one came forward to claim power in the political void that followed and Chavez just "walked right back to the presidential palace".
