Are you fighting crime in Puerto Rico? Where it is a lot higher than in the Garden State? No, you are not fighting crime in Puerto Rico. Your energies are for the criminals in the USA. Lol. Yet, you want to say Puerto Rican independentistas are supposed to not be the way they are or think the way they think? Estas lleno de tu sabes que.
Sonambulo, I really will never agree with you. Ever. But I am glad you participate. Though you always run from the threads when things get too much for you. I hope you are a better cop than you are a debater. Lol. Sonambulo, why are you evading? You evade the tough stuff. That is not the behavior of a cop. A good one anyway. You think I am condescending to you. I am not. I am sincere. You don't get it. Too immersed in New Jersey law enforcement. It has nothing to do with USA gov't treating Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans like second class citizens. It may be tough for you to accept that. Accept that the government whom you as a local cop are a part of---really is not a good or upstanding institution. Instead it has not done what it is supposed to do. Pero todo lo malo le llega su dia. The USA's gov't days of being fundamentally unfair forever with the Puerto Ricans is coming going to come to an end sometime in the unknown future soon. Hopefully by default and without bloodshed. Everything that has a beginning has an ending. And no Empire lasts forever. This one is on the decline. Happy 2008 everyone! It looks like 2008 is going to be my year. A positive, productive year in which many of my goals and dreams can be realized or start to be implemented. I look forward to the end of 2007 it has been bar none the worst year of my life. But, it is ending. And I see hope on the horizon like a beacon of light that never stops motivating me to move forward and look forward. Whoever said that if one doesn't have hope one had to invent it is so RIGHT. So right. I have great hope in every single Puerto Rican who has a sense of self and a sense of humanity and justice will someday wake up and anticipate all the great possibilities we have as a people on planet Earth. This amazing place....Lots of love to you Sonambulo. To Miranda and to all of the people who were nice enough to read my opinions in politics in the past and in the present. Salud, Dinero y Amor to all of you. Y paz. Mucha mucha paz. Suki

Last night I was watching the 2007 foreign movie academy award winner, "THE LIVES OF OTHERS". Its on DVD if anyone wants to see it.
It's about how people in the German Democratic Republic, a.k.a Communist East Germany, were spied upon and all who were suspected to be against the state, were practically destroyed. They weren't killed, but they took away their jobs, making their lives miserable. Most complied and became submissive or commited suicide. East Germany had the highest suicide rate in the world. My wife, who is not Puerto Rican, said , "Gee I'm so glad we live a country where that doesn't happen, where we have freedoms which are the envy of the world. Where we are Blessed by God in that sense." I said, HOLD IT!, what makes you think things like that never happened under the American flag? She said, "I've never heard of it." I said, "Neither did most folks living in East Germany at the time." I then went on to tell her that during my youth on the island the FBI went after all those that were SUSPECTED of being against the established order. In cahoots with the administrators of the colony, The KGB, oops, I mean the FBI, persecuted anyone suspected of being against the status quo. Thousands of lives were destroyed. Independentistas, which were the targets, either fled, or were subdued into non existence, FICHAO. I remember my mother telling me, "Don't talk too loud about those things, walls have ears". East Germany? No the bastion of freedom , Puerto Rico! At the end of the movie, when the wall fell, all survalence records were released for the public to investigate. In Puerto Rico , the FBI also released the records via the freedom of information act. The contemplro files, (I think that's the name) are open for all to see. But do Puerto Ricans care? No, they care more about a sale at Wal-Mart or a 99 cent store than this painful past. LOL My wfe refused to consider what I told her because, as she put it, "Americans don't do that". She had been led to believe, since child birth, that those things only happened in Communist countries, or since 2001, in Islamo-fascist nations, where people all want to flee to the United States to breathe freedom, and I add, to attack the sales at Wal-mart on Black Friday and to heck with freedom, MMMMMMMM does China come to mind? LOL |

"No, they care more about a sale at Wal-Mart or a 99 cent store than this painful past. LOL " Miranda, that is the big problem. All these people who think the USA would never do that. Brainwashed ahistorical people with absolutely no clue about what the government actually does. All they believe is the empty and false rhetoric. I never had that luxury. My mother's office was tapped for years--in my youth the FBI did some things that opened my eyes to what the USA feds really are about. And it aint freedom, justice and democracy for all. I speak of this now, because my parents are dead. They are beyond the stress and the harm and the fear. And I am glad of the freedom I feel now. They are not in harm's way anymore. Not anymore. And I aint gonna be living in the USA anymore. And also because I don't care what the gov't might do to me anymore. I really don't. I don't have to tell the true independentistas how that is like. Living with some gov't agents with power who are capable of anything and who are part of a gov't who hates to have their 'trapitos sucios' taken out to dry in the International community. Sonambulo, won't and can't get it. If he did he would be a fervent independentista or nacionalista of the first caliber. And he is not going to be that. He has to believe in the false images. Those of us who had a small taste of living with persecution all of one's youth or life don't even have to mention it. It just is understood. Fear of losing power and being challenged is human. The state apparatus and having people pay for not agreeing with the gov't line is an old tactic. It doesn't belong to defective socialist societies only. It belongs quite naturally to the wealthy capitalist ones too. They are just too naive, ignorant and self-interested to question the thing too deeply themselves, Miranda. What is the recommendation for remedying this Miranda? Just have your wife and others state over one hundred times...."The United States has been unfair to the people of Puerto Rico". And when it sinks in. Then you have fundamental shift in consciousness. If you can't get that reality first. You will never get anywhere in any other arena in which debate is required.

"You and a number of your pals on this forum speak just like angry racists and are very intolerant and reactionary to opposing views. There is no discourse here, on this site, when reason is hijacked by ideologues. Suelten esos demonios antes que les consuman" MMMMMMMMM Are you thinking of Faraon who is a racist and a homophobe? He is also a right winger, a self hate Rican and a Pitiyanki Statehooder all rolled into one. Are you talking about yourself, who inadvertingly placed all the words of EL NEGRO BEMBÓN on line, a highly racist song about how cops killed this guy because he had big Negroid lips? Shame on you.....LOL Are you talking about Nacionalista, who sometimes sounds like a statehooder and sometimes a nationalist, a typical Rican, neither coming or going? LOL Yes I agree, there is not much dicourse here because there is NO ONE HERE MOST OF THE TIME! I just hope 2008 will be better, have a happy one! |

Miranda, I hope 2008 is better. I really do. People will call me all kinds of things. Que si racista. Me rio. Que si elitista. Me rio. Que si intolerante. Me rio.
Whatever. People are gonna think what they think. ![]() 2008 is going to be a great year. I just know it. Check out the Jim Rogers guy. Interesting round the world trip. Even an 'adventure' Capitalist realizes some truths. LOL. I do have to get some controversy going on Miranda. Otherwise if I had to rely on the skittish Sonambulos to fight for the right on this site---we would die off. That might be inevitable. BTW, I got some interesting ideas for a new novel. See you in 2008. The Millennium Adventure

Para Componer Un Son
LF Miranda you're views are defintiely included- you and Suki seem to hold the same beliefs and speak in a very caustic and bigoted manner in reference to the US. This is funny coming from someone who married an Anglo. You call others sellouts and vendios and a bunch of other things. Seems to me this is a bit hipocritical.
Suki please do not mistaken my decision to not debate with you or anyone else on this board over nonsense as a sign of weakness. I have said to you and I think it largely holds true with LF Miranda that you both tend to ramble and get off topic and lose your sense of argument in the process of your response. You introduce unrelated topics and points and I find it useless to try to respond to a maze of disconnected assertions that feign a response to points that I make. If you folks disagree say so and lets agree to disagree just dont bombard the argument with rambling, character assasination, and hyperbole. Yeah there definitely is no love lost here just like in real life. So be it. |
