Is The End Of Capitalism Near?

As we know it? Is it the end of GREED?

There are many forms of socialism as there are forms of capitalism. Let's stop being afraid of the word as if it meant the devil. The devil came to Wall Street this week and it wasn't Socialism! It's a wake up call to all those who did not heed to Jesus's true teachings, "I AM MY BROTHER'S KEEPER" This week we experienced the dirty side of capitalism. America is a young country compared to the rest of the world; Its wealthy people greedy for more, mismanaging the citizens tax dollars on pork barrels and wars. And what about the people who made this country the richest in the world? What do they get for all their hard work? Is it too much to say NO to war and yes to healthcare? Is it too much to say NO to sub-prime loans and yes to one equal to the rich man? Is it too much to ASK to educate America's children in return? With billions and trillions wasted on ungodly things how in God's name can you say they're begging when it's their money? Once you take the people's money you have a responsiblity to make sure society works for everyone not just the wealthy. Greed will always pay a price. God does not like ugly.

Surviving The Death Of Capitalism

Much like Charles Darwin’s science-based explanation of the origins of life, Karl Marx guided us through the reasons capitalism was born, why it would thrive and dominate for a time, and how its inherent weaknesses condemned it to be replaced by a superior economic system. But will there be a world for socialism to inherit? Problem is capitalism in last throes, irrational and increasingly insane, has now armed itself with doomsday weapons and created an immune system for itself. It influences culture and controls the mass media and education across a growing part of the world, places its servants in seats of political and military power, and creates philosophy and myth to glorify its own existence. It will take advantage of war, disaster, disease, terror, and slavery to feed itself. Much like the human body’s white blood corpuscles, the capitalist system can call on an army of economists from M.I.T. or the University of Chicago to repel threats to its lifeblood, profits, but it can not call off the inevitability of its own death. We Can No Longer Afford Vulture Capitalism

Regulation

I'm not convinced that capitalism is anywhere near its end. However, the current financial climate with its repeated government bailouts (via the peoples' money) is proof that regulations and strict government oversight are essential to maintaining societal and economic soundness. The government has an obvious role in ensuring that free market capitalism does not easily and willingly run a muck. The notion that “the free market will correct itself” is nothing more than wishful thinking. Sound regulation is necessary to prevent investment banks from socializing investment risks (i.e., make it the people's risk), while privatizing investment gains. The investment banks should not have it both ways. Either you privatize investment RISKS and GAINS, or you socialize them!

Several years ago, the theory of de-regulation was applied to California’s energy sector. After de-regulation, what ensued was a series of rolling blackouts which left many communities without power throughout several hours of the day. And the remedy was? RE-REGULATION!

After seeing what has happened during the past two weeks, it seems to me that our government will easily and willingly apply the principles of socialism each and every time the greed of capitalism drives another institution to catastrophic failure.
