Again with the tax foundation. Sorry I don't buy any thing they are selling. I'.m not a liberal, never was. nor a democrat any longer.

why aren't you a fisical conservative minded person? What have I said that makes you think I'm not?

I also did not say that it was a class war, for me. That's what the republicans and democrats call it. It's stricktly about the rich ( over one million $$$$) paying 15 or less percent of their earning, and sheltering their profits overseas..

I left P.R. because I could not find work in my field. I'm from Santurce. (La 18). I'm retired from a privet firm I helped build.

So I guess you won't answer any of my questions.

And sorry, I don't support the crooked, Obama, clinton and all the republicans. The system is rigged. and you probably know this.

My last post to this tread.

Ciao.

that's your prerogative that you have issues with the Tax Foundation....a nonpartisan research organization that has monitored fiscal policy at the federal, state and local levels since 1937.

again, you havent mention anything specific what they reported that you find false, crooked or just a plain lie.....you based your opinions on WIKIPEDIA a source where anybody in the web can input opinions as fact but you never question what report you have issues with.

you said you left Puerto Rico because you couldn't find work.....but don't you think the high regulations and the tax system in Puerto Rico has a lot to do in job creation and investment?...It does........I left for the same reason like millions of more Puerto Ricans left.......the same problem in Venezuela, Spain and Greece....big socialist government, high taxes, high cost of living, high unemployment and a majority of people who think they are entitled to everything regardless if the country goes bankrupt.

you can't debate taxes if you refuse and reject the own I.R.S. data and reports they give to congress....they should know the best they are in charge of collecting taxes and they know best who pays what.

you say the system is rigged....buts its the only system we have and I refuse to give up and I will always fight and do something about it at the local level and with my vote......that's my duty and yours too.

o.

by the way I couldn't let that false statement go by........the rich dont pay 15% (over one million).........they pay more once you add state tax, property taxes and local taxes (county)

they pay 15% of capital gains tax.......it means the money they already paid taxes if they invest that money in the market and the investment makes a profit the company pays 35% and what's left the investors (share owners) pay 15%....that means the government takes 50% combine if the company makes a profit.

why should they pay higher? they take the risks in investing in the market (that's how jobs are created in the private sector) if they lose everything they dont get anything back.

its not ILLEGAL to put your money in foreign banks since we are in a global economy. Foreigners invest in our banks like the Chinese and Japanese and other countries and Americans invest in other banks....thats how capitalism works and the free market. Its an open market.

as long that you report to the I.R.S. any profits made by interests and earnings in foreign shores that's perfectly legal. What you do with your money after you pay your taxes its your business....if you want to spend it or put it under your pillow or invest it in the market or put it in a bank in Sweden to get a higher return its your business. If the I.R.S doesn't have a problem why should you?

Sorry Corvo, you are barking at the wrong tree and are playing the class warfare card when you talk like that and have no clue how capitalism and free market works worldwide and how jobs are created.

the problem is not that the "rich" are not paying their taxes...the problem is government and politicians not knowing how to manage the huge budget they have from revenues of taxes and borrowing from China......its spending and management in government.

by the way Corvo, lets pretend for your argument that the "rich" only pays 15%.....its a false statement but lets look at your numbers anyway:...when you add all the taxes federal, state, property taxes and local taxes they pay a lot more.

If I make 1 million and pay 15% (your false %) that's $150,000

if you make $50,000 and pay 3.5% (according to the I.R.S) $1,750

HOW AM I not paying my fair share since $150,000 is a lot more than $1,750 by 85 times what you are paying.

lets ignore the I.R.S. report and tax rate..........lets pretend the "working class" or the middle class pays 35% in federal taxes and the "rich" pay only 15%....its false but again, lets look at the math.

for every 1 million I make i pay $150,000

you make $70,000 and pay 35% and pay $24,500 which is bogus and false

$150,000 is 6 times more than $24,500......but the fact is the middle class dont pay 35% in taxes, 50% of the taxpayers pay little to no taxes at all according to the I.R.S. and those are the ones making $50,000 or less.

everyway you slice it its a bogus claim made by Obama and the liberals that the "rich" dont pay their fair share of taxes.......they do....look at the I.R.S. data. but some people drink the kool aid without researching and we have in our country class envy and class warfare all done to divide for political purpose when its all a lie.

if you win the LOTTO or LOTERIA look how much the government takes....they take a big chunk (state and federal) .

Do the research

Hardcore Statists like Typoconsuerte and his buddies cannot comprehend such concepts. They know full well that for example Minimum wage wiped out the clothing and apparel industry in the island and forced all the women that worked there into welfare but for them such a thing is the greatest thing that ever happened in the history of mankind right after the economic destruction of Detroit that is. Statists are incapable of comprehending the simple fact that governments don't generate revenue for the government to do something it must take it from someone else.

great post? what did you have for breakfast, RUM AND TEQUILA? LMAO!!!......I cited the I.R.S. reports to congress reported by the TAX FOUNDATION....do you know what the I.R.S stands for?......is that a good enough source for you?.....LOL

NEITHER Corvo or you can't debate or counter point the Tax Foundation reports that comes from the I.R.S. and reports to congress.....that's why Corvo doesnt want to debate anymore, he can't...LOL

I try to educate liberals in this site about taxes but is a very slow process as you can tell..

Corvo still drinks the kool aid and repeats the lies that millonares only pay 15% in taxes (which their 15% is a lot more than most anyway) ............Corvo go earn 1 million in Puerto Rico and see how much HACIENDA takes, it wont be 15%....jajaja not even close.
