Facts about prostate cancer straight from the American Cancer Society.

** 1 in 8 men develop prostate cancer **

Nota de B-in-US:

Come on Boricua-in-US, you spoiled my satire on the news...

Of course, Uncle Berríos didn't get this from Vieques, it is a slow growing age related form of cancer, probably gestating for the last ten years inside Ruben. What is funny is that he exploits every little bit of this for political mileage . He is a consummate politician, of the DEMAGOGUE kind!!!

Anyway, most men over sixty I know have an enlarged prostate, and one out of three of them has a tumor that needs surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy [not even breast cancer occurs at these rates]. And NONE of the men I mentioned were ever at Vieques.

I think it is probably related to the RICH lifestyle associated with living under the US Flag. You don’t see so many prostate cancer cases in poor countries like Bangladesh and Ethiopia, Haiti, or even the Dominican Republic. We eat better than them, we are overweight (like Ruben) and we live twice as much as they do .

Mark this, if these independentistas manage to force independence on the 97% of Puerto Ricans in PR we will probably see cancer cases decline as the country slides toward 3rd World Country Status, and the Puerto Rican standard of living sinks under that of the Dominican Republic .
