A sad day in Vasques 5am (5/4/200 AND a sad day for the Democratic system. PRican demonstrators are being Move out.
The PNP will never recover from this one.
The winners will be the PPD & PIP. I hope
this will move our people to vote for a free
country. Because this would never happen if it was a state or a free country.

Carlos Ventura, a fisherman, member of the last Puerto Rican Commission on Vieques and a lifelong PNP said it best

``They got us out, but it is a disgrace for the nation that calls itself the architect of democracy that it had to use warships with more than 1,000 soldiers, armed with all of their equipment, to remove a few people who are demanding peace,''

I don't know where you got your information from, but the so called "war ships" and "1000 soldiers" you talk about where never used to remove the protestors. They came in to secure the area after the FBI and US Marshalls had started to remove them. At no time were they involved in the dispersing of the civilians.

J. you ought to know that those warships were used to transport the 1,200 combat marines, as well as the FBI AND THE US MARSHALLS, and that the Marines were there for backup in case of a firefight. Not only that but for the first time that I know of in history, the Marines have been ordered to utilize the fascist tool of BARBWIRE (a tool of the Nazi concentration camps and used also to secure the perimeters of the Warsaw ghetto) In point of fact, these Marines are reduced to stringing barbwire to secure the perimeter of the Vieques target area. And BEWARE! THEM if any civil obedience demonstrators try to breach the area again. In other words, it would not surprise me at all that TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT! This event has been not only a lamentable one in those or these days of American history, but it is indeed also a disgrace that such an overwhelming combined force of the military, the Federal Marshalls, and the F.B.I. had to be used to remove PACIFISTS!Although no one has been injured or detained yet, it has been an act of "overkill" none the less(the threat to the pacifists was greater than the execution!).
And take note, the there are still pacifists hidden in the area who as long as they remain there, will stop any resumption of the bombing, ..not because of them, perhaps, but because the Marshalls must remain until all the pacifists are rounded up and removed from the area.

Fidel Castro also sends latter to the PNP and other parities in PRico. The PIP got lattes from Spain and other countries. What is wrong with the. They have no power to stop one country from sending lattes to them. The PNP always try to make the PIP like a communist party and they are not. They believe in the democratic system more than the PNP or US put together. My friends and me once believe in the PNP but not any more. More and more people the once believes in the PNP are moving from this party. The PNP is a dead party now. Our people will never forget what they did to our people.
Long live the dead PNP. Rest in peace forever!

Eddier1,

Indeed you really have it down pact, so you think. The FBI and US Marshalls where flown in, the marines I will believe you on that one. Second I really do not believe that the marines will shoot at anyone unless they are armed and know this that has well as the Police the rule of engagement is very simple, you must be shot at first in order to shoot. I am in the armed forces and very much a Puerto Rican, one simple question that I have for you, that is if you can answer it. Everyone is talking this and that concerning the unfortunate death of the civilian about a year ago, can you tell me how many times did you stand watch on that same gate of Vieques and the citizens of peace of the same island would drive by and shoot sporadicaly at civilians and military personnel alike? I am agaisnt any harm to my fellow P.Ricans but I must also see the truth without prejudice. I can only wish that true peace is accomplished without any blood shed.
