According to Pitiyanki lore the United States, being the most democratic nation on the face of this planet, will most likely let Puerto Ricans choose between Independence and statehood when the final show down occurs.

Statehooders are 900% convinced that Statehood will win by at least 75% to 80%, thus making Statehood a reality as soon as the final Plebiscite is held.

Like I have said before this is the politics of fools. Like if Americans, "se chuparan el deo". Only Red Neck style Pitiyanki's like El Jibaro believe this schtick.

Precisely because Statehood will win is the reason Congress REFUSES to celebrate a show down between Statehood and Independnece. STATEHOOD IS THE PROBLEM!

Like many nations, the United States tells people like El Jibaro and Carleone one thing , they are the PROLES and must be kept believing all that garbage that is fed to them. How politics works is another.

The U.S. KNOWS that a Puerto Rican State is a headache, specially at a time when Hispanics are knocking down the doors to get in. Americans are terrified that the new immigrants won't learn English. That is the reason why bilingual education is being destroyed around the nation.

To give the Hispanics a shot in the arm with a State with more political power than 29 English speaking states is a Jibaro/Carlone fantasy. Politicians from States that will loose seats and are seeing themselves becoming a minority because of the onslaught of Hispanics will have a lot of explaning to do if they vote a Puerto Rican State in.

Why should they make Puerto Rico a state? Because they are nice? What's in it for them?

Negociations will be coming and a new status will be sold to the people like a new car, APUNTALO!
