Talking WELL DONE PONCE!

I am not a teacher, but you are right, as perfessionasl in any buisness or carrer you chose to follow that direction and have to take the goods with the bads. Well Ponce, you did not explain why we should only teach USA history because that is what the PNP dominated educational department is trying to do. Many teachers don't follow that root because American colonal history is different from the never ending Puerto Rican colony. We should and the PPD tries, to "puertoricanize" our children, because we are probably never going to become a state.

I have wrote the reasons why we would not become a state before and I chose not again, but to write this. The congress, the senate, the American people we will be with do not want us as a state, if a vote done in the mailand USA was done on Puerto Rico's status, it would result in Independence. Many of the the Americans I have talked to think Puerto Rico is a COMPLETLEY dependednt TERRITORY that has not industry besides the popular rum ans sugar cane, and we all know, as Puerto Ricans, that that is not true.

An alternate ELA is a possibility, because the old one of carpetas, unepmloyment, and abuse of power and ecomnomic limbo is not working. it worked over 40 years ago and a sure huge celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Puetrto Rican so called "Estado Libre Asociado"" will be held. You are right, without the PPD, which are hand to hand with the small and bashed Independence movements, without the stronger and more influential PPD then we can not go that far to Independence, whcih the ELA was established to eventually go towards, not statehood. Except many PPDs want how it is forver, even a revised ELA can not strand 50 years, the American people and politicians want change and Statehood and a ELA is not the answer. We should stick together as a people when times are going to get tough, because it will because the sytem we relied on for 60 years is withering and the culture, language, and individuality in this world that could be taken in the tide with statehood, because the people of Puerto Rico are not educated enough on the fact that statehood is not the only answer that could bring us to greatness.

Our economic system that needs revising like a model Singapore, which is much smaller than PR, less resources, but greatly rich. Poorer when it first started out Independent from a once great power, Britian. Many things need changing if Independence, which seems the only answer to the Americans to give us, can suceed. We will not be as rich or as powerful without the USA, but so a many RICH coutries out there, like small Singapore which have WORKED hard for respect, richness, and individuality with out much of a headstart like we will have, TOGETHER!
