Section 936 phased out is another
Way to force us to take Statehood.

Thousands of workers if not millions of workers would lose their jobs When Section 936 is phased out. By the year 2005 section 936 will Be complety phased out. Many jobs have already been lost during The previous several years due to the phase out. More worrisome Has been the inability to attract comparably paying jobs to Puerto Rico to substitute for those that have been lost.
Why? How could this happen to Puerto Rico? Very simple. They want to force Puerto Rico to become part of the United State by the forces of the PNP and they don’t care
If millions lose there jobs in Puerto Rico. Without Section 936 American co and other companies would have to pay federal taxes
Even thought PR is not a state. This is almost the same thing The happen when England force taxes to the American colonies.
How can these companies pay federal taxes when the laws say Very clear, No taxes without representation. This companies paying
Taxes are okay if Puerto Rico was a state but is not. But tanks God the we have Latin congressman fighting to come With something new. One of them is Luis V. Gutierrez.
He is a member of congress. His phone is 202-225-8203. Him and other are working on H.R. 2138. What is H.R. 2138? This is to amend the Internal Revenue Code to extent the credit for Businesses operating in Prico
And also help other possessions of the US. This bill would Allow for existing and new companies operating in PR to Benefit from a credit against their federal corporate tax liability. The goal of this important legislation is to attract investment and
Job creation by more companies. Another reason to say No to Statehood. No one should force our people to become A state by removing jobs from PR!

Question

One thing the I can't understand is how could
those who believe in statehood go on doing
so when you have enemies in Washington.
Time and time again they have stop the
moment to making Puerto Rico a state.
Don't you get it? They don't want us.
Also, they have not even help the PPD get
to the point they want. So you see, freedom
for Puerto Rico is the only option and is
the option the Washington will faunally give
to Puerto Rico.

Papo, I believe that the US government wants to keep PR as a territory for convenience. They never mean for us to be a State, otherwise we could be already. PR were given citizenship in 1917 for the sole purpose of draf us to the WW1. The 936 will phase out, but I bet you that they will come on with a substitude. Otherwise the US will face a huge migration of PR's from the island to all main cities in the US. I am not joking, two weeks ago I was in PR for my gradpa funeral and seriously that were the comments of all my family. Now, if we become a state, the USA could not do many things they do now with PR, one of them is contamination. The Navy and Marine will poo in their pants when there is 7 more congressman and senators on their tail. well, thatis my two cents, I will aport more as it comes.

To thegenie:

I feel so sorry for thegenie because he is
the one who is going to be crying. Is going
to be the other way around. Puerto Rican
History has always repeated its self. When
ever the poles said that the PNP was going
to win the opposite would happen. I have
Live in PR to know so. Believe me, PR would
never become a state. They could win election
after election and the US government would
say no and no again. Long live our free
Democratic Republic of Puerto Rico!!!!

This is a ping-pong tournament between the PPD and PNP. The US government is coaching every game and the independentistas are seating at the benches watching the game.
