Exclamation

I got a copy of this e-mail enjoy it
It was given in Kansas at the opening session of their Senate. It seems prayer still upset some people. Everytime I post one on this site, doesn't show. conspiracy or the devil's doing??? Hummmm I'll see if this one will show after I'm done.

Well, when Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask YOUR forgiveness and to seed YOUR direction and guidance. We know YOUR WORD says, "Woe to those who call evil good", but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We confess that:
We have ridiculed the absolute truth of YOUR WORD and called it Pluralism;
We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism;
We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle;
We have exploited the poor and called it lottery;
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare;
We have killed our unborn and called it choice;
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable;
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem;
We have abused power and called it politics;
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition;
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression;
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us to the center of YOUR WIll to open ask it in the name of YOUR SON, THE LIVING SAVIOR, JESUSCHRIST. AMEN"

The response was inmediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest, but the church of Rev. Wright receives numerous requests for copies of this prayer.

Thumbs up

GREAT POST

I think that without prayer the world cannot exist, REALLY! It is sad that there are people that exist without spirit and without knowing or believing in God! He is the all powerful one, the one that sits upon our shoulders each day, in and out, and sees us through yet another day here on earth! So just keep on spreading that God is Good maybe those that got up and walked out of that prayer will some day see that the reason they CAN WALK, TALK, FEEL, SEE, HEAR, ECT....IS BECAUSE OF GOD!

Dorcas, this is an outstanding post. I remember seen that on the news, it was awful seen those polititians walk out away from the true. Thanks for the post, I am definitely adding this one to my colletion of excellent post, but this one especially, I am printing it and place on my wall for me and for many polititians that visit me to read.

Thank you guys(that goes for you too Italia!) I can't take the credit for it.
Here's another e-mail I received today.
"What does Love Mean? was asked to a group of children ages 4-8. The answers were broader and deeper than anyone expected.
1. Love is that first feeling you feel before all the bad stuff gets in the way.
2. When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.
3. When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You know that your name is safe in their mouth.
4. Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.
5. Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your french fries without making them give you any of theirs.
6. Love is when someone hurts you and you get so mad but you don't yell at them because you know it would hurt their feelings.
7. Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.
8. Love is when my Mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure it taste ok.
9. Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My mommy and daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss.
10. Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.
11. When you tell someone something bad about yourself and you're scared they won't love you anymore, but then you get surprised because not only do they still love you, they love you even more.
12. Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt then he wears it every day.
13. Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.
14. During my piano recital, I was on a stage and scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scare anymore.
15. My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.
16. Love is when mommy dives daddy the best piece of chicken.
17. Love is when mommy sees daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer that Rovert Redford.
18. Love is when you puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.
19. I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.

Wasn't that cute???
