Cool

PPD, PNP, and even here had said that PR could make it alone. Then lets do it! What are we waiting for? I believe the problem is that the PNP and the PPD don't want to loose there control and power to talk about this and inform our people that the time has come to become a free PR. If they would tell our people this and vote on it then PR will be come a free country with the blessing of the vote. What do you think?

Aquí le presento parte de la noticia:

Puerto Rico Boat Capsizes, 5 Die

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - A boat crowded with dozens of Dominicans being smuggled illegally into Puerto Rico capsized before dawn today, killing at least five people. Only 10 of the estimated 70 aboard had reached land safely by early today, police said

Hundreds of Dominicans yearning for a better life risk their lives every year in overcrowded wooden motor boats to make the treacherous 75 mile crossing of the Mona Passage that separates this U.S. Caribbean territory from the Dominican Republic.

SIGUEN APARECIENDO MAS VICTIMAS...

Is sad that this happen but PR will be in good conditions if it becomes a free country. A country of our own. A country that no one could take it away from us. Statehood is a dream. We know that US will never take PR as a state. To much power for PR and for the Latino in USA. This is one of the reason. As long as the PPD win the more time we have to make PR a free country and more time my people have to wake up from this statehood false dream.

I'm sure if the mass majoity of people in PR supported statehood then you would be granted state hood.

When I was in grade school I was told PR would become our 51 state and that has not happened yet.

What percentage support statehood? I personally like living through positive history like going through 2000 and the fall of the Berlin Wall. I would certainly welcome a 51st state. Perhapw the UK if PR does not want it.
