Whatever corporation is saying it would pull out of PR if we had our independence is just saying it to save face. There is no way. Too much money involved and where would they go? Eastern Europe? With the turmoil there?
Maybe Russia? The Caribbean has already been saturated by US companies and they have already sucked the life out of the work force. Whoever pulls out, there will be others to move in. I am sure the Puerto Rican government can work out deals with these corporations much the same the US government has. I just feel that after over 100 years of US dependency created by the US for the purpose off fattening their coffers, we should be able to determine where we go from here. Give PR the opportunity that was promised but never delivered. |

PR will be in good conditions if it becomes a free country. A country of our own. A country that no one could take it away from us. Statehood is a dream. We know that US will never take PR as a state. To much power for PR and for the Latino in USA. This is one of the reason. As long as the PPD win the more time we have to make PR a free country and more time my people have to wake up from this statehood false dream.
