This is a message to JIBARO and other ignoramuses.

Before you go attempting character assasination and calling people infantile names like "punk" etc; think about what you say and watch your words. You do not have to be an "Aerospace Engineer at the FAA Tech Center in Pamona, New Jersey" to know about decency. I think that requires a degree in human respect.

Due to pressing matters related to the real world I was not able to quickly respond to your post Jibaro and that of others.

First of all I do not give a flying puck about Sila Calderon or her stupid speeches. The point I was trying to make, and you and some others read too much into it, was that the FORTALEZA website is worthless. The prior FORTALEZA website [under Rosello] was a lot more informative and had information about every municipality in Puerto Rico. The present website stinks. To make matters worse it is only in Spanish. Now understand that I am perfectly bilingual. I love our language and our culture. I also have a deep respect for the US which is my country. Puerto Rico is simply the territory that I was born on and still have much of my family. To me it is just like a state, [but with a special twist].

Second I am a former idenpendentista who believed in this cause. Once I grew up and realized the foolishness of this idea, I began to understand that, as nice a concept that indepence is, it could never work because the masses simply do not support it.

I believe in statehood, for reasons that I have come to conclude myself, compel me to understand that statehood is the most viable option for Puerto Rico in the long run. I am not a demogogue. I actually do not really care much for gringos. I know they do not give a damn about Puerto Ricans. Although I also know they do not give a damn about much of anything except for themselves. But I am an american and I have pucking rights and I feel that America owes Puerto Ricans a debt that has been earned through lives, blood, sweat, and mo-fuching tears.

To be more honest with you I sometimes get to the point that I do not care about the future of the island because of the obvious confusion and polarization that has gone on down there for so long. Too many of our brothers and sisters are parasites; they host of the government and sometimes their own families. It is a travesty.

I am very convinced that nothing is going to change in Puerto Rico, save for some faces during political changes, for at least 50 years. Most people on this site don't want to hear this because deep down inside they know that it is true. They may ramble on about an independence plan, or Vieques, or Don Pedro, or Munoz Marin, or a thousand other things but when they log off and they pick up El Vocero or El Nuevo Dia, or even the New York times, not much will have changed. In spite of this I still would like people to know that I am an optimist and hope for the prompt conversion of Puerto Rico from the Estado Latigado Amenazado to the 51st state.

Statehood and statehood alone offers the best hopes for us because we are americans.

Nuff said brothers- think about it.

Angel

Wink I like your style.....

Verdadteller,

I really like your style, it seems that your strait forward, good.

I see your dicernment toward the Rican people especially the one in the Island and it is true, no doubt. But we have to reverse all that propaganda feed to the PR people all these years, we must, it is only fair. I really think this is an excellent tool to tdo so. A few month ago a group of us try to use billboard with some valuable educational themes for the Puertorrican people. We could not even convience them to pay even more money to do so. They actually censored all the information/marketing phases scheduled for three months. They would only accept a graphic description and little wording of no sense at all, we try newspapers same problem. It seems that PR is in a Communist or socialist system even for marketing. But there are other peaceful ways.

Hey verdadteller, I was pipiolo, then socialista, then estadista, and now nacionalista. I had been a nacionalista more time than all the other ideologies together.

Times change, so the way people see things.

I like the way you are, straight to, not hidding behind ideas.

I left the estadista ideas when I was transfered to work here in DC with all these dirty politicians, which I hate to said they are my customers.

I had see so much stuff going on against the Island that it shock me, to the point that push me to become a nacionalista.

I am not alone, nacionalista are everywhere, watching to see what happen in PR. Nacionalistas are good people, but we have few bad apples in our ranks.

The majority of the Nacionalistas are willing to give everything for PR, when the right time comes. Here is Richmond we are 25 nacionalistas, two just joined us last month.

We meet once a month in a high power range to practice sport marksmanship, and we compete in many shooting events nationwide. Five of my guys almost made it to the olympics, we will try again next one.

After the range, we meet in a local pub, but we don't talk about politics. Each one of us has his own agenda and we don't ask each other what is in their mind.

We all talk about good time in PR, Albizu, and many historical events. We also talk about international events.

Well, enought of this, I just want to congratulate you for standing for your ideas in the forum in a desent way. I really apreciate that.

Good for you, and I hope to learn from you a lot. Looking forward to read more of your post.

Talking Dear Mentira Teller:

I have a HIGH RESPECT for those who used to be independentistas but have seen the light, as I myself once was a Marxist, and raised as a Marxist, but the TRUTH set me FREE .

However, I do not have any respect for independentistas "who come in sheep's clothing". These are the most despicable human beings on the face of the Earth, since they are a 100% PURE FALSEHOOD.

How do I know you are a liar? First by your backdoor tactics. You are not UPFRONT in any way. Either, you are a statehooder who doesn't really believe in Statehood, and are afraid to voice it openly, or you are an independentista who wants to undermine the Statehood Cause by throwing "monkey wrenches" in the gear box; since most Estadistas know what they believe, I deem you the second type, a scoundrel. Your double edged postings stink of independentista rhetoric and buffonery!

Second, I find you have in common with independentistas this HIGH-FALLOOTING opinion of yourself. Most Estadistas I know are moderate about the way they see themselves, only independentistas here have this narcissistic view of themselves bordering deity; for example look at all the "handles" the independetista scoundrels give themselves: conciencia, nacionalista, Mr. Ed - R #1, hombre-de-la-ciudad, etc... So, by logic, when I see a guy who calls himself "truth"-teller, I think of a clown who perceives himself to be the next best thing to the actual TRUTH, boy your pomposity exhudes...

So, if you want to keep on making a clown of yourself, go right ahead. If you decide to change and tell the truth, then prove it .
