How are you Ecuajey?

Yes, but the divison in the setup scenario comes after a
civil unrest or conflict...the avoidance of blood can only be ceased by the division within the Island.

Also, splitting an island that has about the same culture on all parts, could lead to great civil unrest and would disrupt the entire island, thus, again allowing PR to loose it's value to the USA.

Lightbulb I'm doing terrific, how are you conciencia?

Ah, very interesting!

Well, whose to say that civil unrest and bloodshed won't stir up again after the division? The same thing happened in Chechneya. There was one war against the Russians, then a few years later, another; it ripped the nations apart.

If a division is to be made because of civil unrest, then I will have to say, again, such a decision would be a disaster. The reason would be, as I stated before, due to the economic situations that PR would face.

Lightbulb conciencia...

Bad example!

South Korea's economy didn't really start to be what it is now, until General Park Chung-Hee arrived with his chaebol economics. Also, the South has always been Korea's food production hub, splitting them into two, along with Kim Il Sung's and then his son's dictatorships, has produced disastrous consequences for the North.

Again, I wrote the outcome of Puerto Rico's independent part becoming successful. Unless they barricade the borders, as they do in Korea, I don't see anything really stopping the migration. Even if they do, look at the Berlin Wall and how many died trying to pass through.

Another reason why that is a bad example, is because they both were independent nations and not dependent as PR is, on a foreign nation. Independence for Puerto Rico would be a whole new concept for the island.

In my opinion, it's all of Puerto Rico or none of Puerto Rico. Allowing one side to be successful and the other side not to be and let millions die in the split is just too much. As I will always write and say, splitting PR in half is not viable solution. Do you think it is?

There are many areas we PR do not share with either!

That be Germany, Korea or Vietnam! The social economic stamps will never be the same, however some we do share. Korea currently does not need the USA as it did in the beginning of the split. The fact is the South Korea needed USA protective and commercialism avenues to become what it is today.

The split were are using as an exposition or example is not a search or a goal for any Puerto Rican instead it is a preposition of it could be as I and you have mentioned by historical accounts. This has happened throughout the world especially when political views are polarized.
