Question

Basically, I'm feeling me way around the site still and I've noticed that two topics generally garner a lot of attention:

Religion
Politics

These two generally attract many posters and I'm still learning about Puerto Rico, Puerto Ricans and the issues which the community is passionate about.

What I'd really like to know is how does the Puerto Rican community in America see itself versus those Puerto Ricans on the island?

What issues need to be addressed in the community and which seem to be ignored?

Wink Hello Truthangel how are you?

Each Puerto Rican individual's issues are different of course. But what interests most people. Economics, future opportunities, control, education, and issues of import in most societies are of great interest to Puerto Ricans.

Truthangel you are always a pleasure to talk to.

Suki.

Smile Hi, Suki...

How are you?

I haven't talked to you in a while.

I've been very busy and I started up my own forums on Delphi. Why don't you come over and check them out?

"A little something for everyone...."

Now, back to my topic...

Is the Puerto Rican community becoming more focused on investing, as well as education?

The African American community is focused on those issues and some are re evaluating the principles of our community.

There is currently a debate going on as whether it has been benefical to our community, culturally, 40 years after integration. Some are skeptical and the more radical are actually questioning whether the black community should re segregate in order to re establish our values and strengthen our communities.
