I'm researching political parties in Puerto Rico. I find tons of information on whether the party wants statehood, commonwealth status, or independence. But what about other issues?
Which parties are seen as strongest on environmental protection? I am interested in both large and small parties. What about the Civil Action Party? Who are they, and what are their stands? |

Partido Popular Democrático (PPD) and Partido Independentista Puertorriqueño (PIP) are the strongest on environmental protection, especially the youngest Senator ever in PR, Roberto Pratts. (PPD)
I think the Civil Action Party want an Associated Republic, which means, to have a signed agreement with the USA for common defense, currency...etc while obtaining independence.

Quote:
Only one extant party has proved itself to be really environmentalist in Puerto Rico, and that party is the Partido Independentista de Puerto Rico (PIP). The ELA or PPD has betrayed the environment concerns in PR from day one, and can't be trusted to keep its word or promises about anything to do that might improve the environmental problems of the island-nation. In short, it is part of the problem and not a part of the solution. Regards, EddieR
