Fallo a favor de empleados despedidos por motivaciones políticas

PONCE – Tras una larga batalla judicial que duró ocho años, el Tribunal de Primera Instancia de Ponce condenó al municipio de Juana Díaz a indemnizar a tres empleados cesanteados por motivaciones políticas por la pasada administración novoprogresista del alcalde Santiago "Chago" Martínez.

El juez superior José Fernández ordenó al municipio de Juana Díaz pagarle $219,207 a los empleados Ismael Rodríguez Rodríguez, Judith Guilbe Millán y Virginia Sánchez Alvarado, quienes alegaron en 1993 que fueron despedidas por motivaciones políticas por el alcalde estadoísta Martínez.

El magistrado, en su decisión, sostiene que el entonces alcalde Martínez violó los derechos civiles de estos empleados al despedirlos injustificadamente.

La decisión específica que Rodríguez Rodríguez debe recibir $69,079, mientras que Guilbe Millán recibirá $70,099 y Sánchez Alvarado debe recibir sobre $80,000.

El nuevo alcalde popular de Juana Díaz, Ramón Hernández Torres, dijo este martes a la AP que en el caso de Sánchez Alvarado, el juez Fernández determinó, además, que hay que reinstarla en el puesto que tenía cuando fue despedida por motivaciones políticas.

"Ya cumplimos esa orden y esta empleada está trabajando en programas con fondos federales", dijo el primer ejecutivo.

"Durante ocho años esta demanda se mantuvo en los Tribunales y ahora se emitió la decisión firme y final en favor de estos empleados a los que el ex alcalde despidió injustamente y por motivaciones políticas", agregó.

La decisión señala que estos empleados deben recibir antes del 30 de junio el dinero que les asignó el Tribunal de Primera Instancia.

Además, el alcalde estadolibrista de Juana Díaz dijo que solicitará un préstamo al Departamento de Hacienda para poder cumplir con la orden del magistrado.

Indicó que el municipio que dirige acepta el laudo y se comprometerá a realizar un plan de pagos durante 10 años con el Departamento de Hacienda para que estos trabajadores reciban la indemnización que les concedió el Tribunal de Primera Instancia.

I understand what you mean on your comments on X-fAiRy.

He/she seems not to be able to depate, but only write hard to read posts (Due to the fact that he/she does not follow simple rules of English grammar for someone who lives and studies in the USA.) with his/her biases of how great statehood will be and that we won't loose our culture...blah blah blah. Still, us independentistas have asked him/her many questions and he/she never replied, but I've made an effort to reply to his/her every post concerning that subject with facts and reason.

He/she also never chooses to write pacific facts and statistics on why he/she believes the folloing, as he/she have been asked to. He/she writes posts on how her comments are being "de-graded" due to her political stances, but what he/she doesn't realize that this is a forum for debating and learning, thus he/she will met others that have different views towards Puerto Rico and question his/hers. That doesn't mean we're de-grading her comments, just questioning them with facts and reason, which is something he/she knows nothing of.

He/she constantly is also kissing up to the estadistas of this forum of how much he/she loves them. I swear, you would think he/she is having sex with them....(Opps, am I not suppose to write that here? )

i take that very offensively ECUAJEY/CONCIENCIA.. in no form have i EVER displayed any ignorant comments towards you or your thoughts... and now i cant use (OMG?.. acaso se te olvido q usas mucho el "LOL"?) you forgot that? i can write, say , read, and post whatever i feel like, regardless if i answer you or anyone else.. ive never said anything degrading... and i am not kissing "behind", as you have mentioned...
and that "he/she" thing, if you would be so kind as to look up my info.. you would at least "NOTICE" that i am a female... (what guy would put a post name like "Fairy"!!!!)
Again this IS a FORUM.. to post comments, and questions, to learn new things... however.. i will not have you or anyone else in this place insult me.... i havent done it to you.. nor have i used obscene language...
why is it that if i support someone on the forum.. that makes me a "lambe-ojo".. If i was supporting you, would you have said tha same things?.. i think not, because ive read many topics here, many ppl supporting their fellow pip's.. and no one has ever said anything in the lines that you or Sr. CONCIENCIA.. have just posted here.... also, when someone who is "estadista" post something, the majority of the time its deleated by the moderator...
it just shows how very immature some people are when you cant stand someone disagreeing with your point of view.
