It is not forgotten.
Plenty of people want baseball in PR.
People cannot afford to support a team.
The government, in shambles financially, would have to support a stadium.
The remaining portion would have to be paid by the people, half of whom are on welfare or not self-sufficient without some form of aid. The majority of pro sports teams bear an URBAN AREA'S NAME, but are built and funded by suburban area and the people living in the suburbs.
The infrastructure would have to be different in order to have this work in PR. It can be done, but whoever develops a team would have to invest much of his/her own money to do so. And being that most owners tend to be misers as it is, this is unlikely.
But I hereby make a promise, when I get to the point where I can afford to do so, I'm bringing all three of the major sports to PR, because there is a contingent who wants it and would support it.
It's a high risk, high reward venture.
