Bayamon's Fort Buchanan Golf Club

The Fort Buchanan Golf Club is one of many that offer a good game of golf.

The Fort Buchanan Golf Club in Puerto Rico is a military type golf club with nine holes which can be utilised to play an 18 hole round of golf. The course is set out over 6300 yards of ground and has a rating of 72 as well as a slope of 128. Though it is smaller than some of the island’s other golf clubs, the Fort Buchanan Golf Course Complex has everything you may need to enjoy a great round of golf. Visitors can easily hire clubs, pull carts and electric carts so all you need to pack in are your golfing clothes.

The Fort Buchanan Golf Club is located on the Fort Buchanan United States Army post which can be found in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Originally established in 1923, it currently services the 65th Infantry Regiment as well as the National Guard. It is a very well developed army post which caters to the needs of both service members and their families, with schools, a small shopping complex, a bowling alley, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, a library, a chapel, a restaurant, an adults only bar and more. Most visitors, however, prefer to stick to the greens since they make for such a good round of golf.

Apart from the main golf course, the Fort Buchanan Golf Course Complex has other golfing facilities which you may utilize to improve your game. These include a driving range with nine hitting stations, practise greens, a number of bunkers, a snack bar and a five-hole practise course with a par three rating. And if you do forget anything at home, you’ll be able to find everything you need at the Pro Shop which sells a great variety of golfing accessories. So if you’re planning to visit Puerto Rico soon, make sure you bring along your golf shoes and head to Fort Buchanan Golf Course for a great round of golf.
