Puerto Rico's Hyatt Resorts and Courses

Located about 45 minutes away from Puerto Rico's capital city, is an amazing golf complex consisting of 4 top-class golf courses. These exceptional golf courses are shared by the Hyatt Regency Cerromar Beach Resort and Casino and the Hyatt Regency Dorado Beach Resort. Designed by golfing expert Robert Trent Jones, these courses offer endless hours of brilliant golfing entertainment.

The first golf course in this complex was created back in 1956 at Dorado Beach. Eventually three other golf courses were added over time to create the Caribbean's largest golf complex. The Hyatt golf courses have been named North, East, South and West and are brilliantly designed. Everything is well maintained so you can be guaranteed a pleasant experience. Stunning green fairways lead to marvelously manicured greens after avoiding sand bunkers and water hazards. Each of the golf courses has its own feel and some holes are more challenging than others.

Let's take a closer look at the North Course. This particular golf course falls under the care of the Hyatt Regency Cerromar Beach Resort that ensures that it is always in tip-top shape. The North Course was put together in 1970 and it certainly lists with the top courses in the world. Verdant Bermuda grass covers the fairways and greens of the course. Water hazards are encountered on 12 of the 18 holes and there are a large number of sand bunkers. Resort staff estimate that around 120 000 golf games are played here each year. Play time on the course runs from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm every day. For those who need a little practice there is a sand and chipping area, a putting green, a driving range and a golfing pro to help you out. Electric carts are available for rental as are golf clubs for vacationers who couldn't bring their own along. Remember, only soft spikes are allowed.

Dorado Beach's club house was recently upgraded and contains a restaurant, pro shop and other useful facilities. The Hyatt Regency Cerromar Beach Resort and Casino is a high-rise structure with a lively casino, swimming pools, health club, spa and sporting facilities. While you're out golfing the children will be kept busy with a variety of fun-filled activities. It is a marvelous destination for the entire family.
