Just south of Arecibo we started to drive south on Highway 10 to cross the islands main mountain range, the "Cordillera Central", in order to reach the island's south coast. Although the island is only 35 miles (about 50 km) wide, it can take hours to cross the island, especially after the main highway ends. Arecibo, Puerto Rico: Helpful local leads us to highway [03:11]
One of the things I love about travel is to discover local places that are not necessarily frequented by tourists. We started the day by driving west from Dorado into the coastal town of Arecibo which was settled in 1556. Caught in a downpour, we watched the goings-on on the main square ducked underneath a balcony. Kish's Zip Line Adventure in Puerto Rico's Natural Rain Forest with the Acampa Folks [01:26]
Sunil & Kish here from www.dubai-information-site.com. Check out Kish on her zip line jump adventure in pouring rain. This was in Puerto Rico with the Acampa tour company in a natural rain forest far away from where we were in San Juan. It's pouring hard rain and Kish is taking her time while we are all waiting on the other end. You can tell, there was no Army training involved She did a great job!
