Under the artistic direction of Muuaaa's president, Celina Nogueras Cuevas, CIRCA was the first art fair in the Caribbean. Our responsibilities at Circa included establishing relationships with artists, galleries, and collectors; determining the requirements for participants; screening and persuading galleries to participate; and overseeing every branding and image aspect of the fair. As artistic director, Celina served as curator and supervisor of activity coordinators. Her role in the fair was one of the reasons why CIRCA enjoyed visibility as a brand and as a product on a global scale.
