Saborea Puerto Rico: A Culinary Extravaganza

Saborea Puerto Rico, meaning ‘Taste Puerto Rico’, will begin its festivities on the 4th of April 2008. On Saturday, 5 April 2008, visitors to this culinary event will be overwhelmed by the number of fascinating culinary and lifestyle seminars that are on offer at the festival, including Kids Kitchen demonstrations and a Rums of Puerto Rico Pairing Dinner. On Sunday, 6 April 2008, there will once again be seminars and demonstrations, and visitors will be able to taste the work of some of the world’s leading international chefs, toast with the products of exclusive wine, champagne and spirits suppliers, and have premier restaurants brought to the public in Puerto Rico.

Chefs and kitchen staff of restaurants such as Augusto’s, Fantasia at Holiday Inn San Juan, Alfredo di Roma at InterContinental San Juan, Ficus Café, Morton’s, Old Harbor Brewery, Panza, Rose Champagne Bistor, Sangria & Fondue, Strip House and the Terra Campestre have all confirmed their attendance at the Saborea Puerto Rico: A Culinary Extravaganza. Rum and wine tastings will be available throughout this magnificent event, as well as guest celebrity appearances that are set to be as great an attraction as the mouthwatering foods.

The Saborea Puerto Rico can also be considered to be an educational festival, as tourists and visitors learn more about the food and preparation of some of the traditional dishes. With special attention being given to children, it is an event that the entire family can enjoy, especially the interactive demonstrations that teach children quick and safe methods to make their own lunch snacks.
