  • INFO ON SAN JUAN??

Can anyone help me? San Juan is a port on our cruise schedule and I have been searching the internet for some info on tours(times & prices, and do they leave from the dock area), a map of the area around SanJuan(web site ??????), (where is the cruise port in relation to the town?) and some ideas on places to shop or not to go near. Anyone have any interesting
knowledge they would like to throw my way?
Anything you give me will help alot and would
be greatly appreciated. I like to go to a new place with enough knowledge about it (historically and now, and how to get around), so that I can appreciate it all the more.
    THANX!

    Maggie,

You can try the website www.topuertorico.com for additional information.

Are you by any chance visiting curacao as well?

    Enjoy your trip

Thanks for the help Reggie! There are soooo
many web sites for a new person on the net to
learn. Unfortunately, we are only going to
Nassau, San Juan, St. Thomas and Holland Americas private island. We have visited most
of these islands before. Next time we would
like to hit the more dutch islands, as we are
dutch also. Any info on Curacao for next time??????
      Thanks again!

You will most probably be docking right in Old San Juan, the most beautiful city in Puerto Rico, but im biased! You will be within walking distance and do walk allover the old Spanish Colonial city. If you have time for lunch go to La Mallorquina in 201 san justo St., one of the oldest restaurants there, good food, cordial service just dont tell anybody, it`ll get ruined! Also La Chaumiere in367 tetuan St., the best French restaurant in the caribbean. Everywhere there its safe, just avoid the northern part called LA Perla by the cliff. Do go to El Morro and get the history of what the Spaniards did to our poor Indians! Also the dutch were there! I love San Juan, its history and our heritage and if I moved back to Puerto Rico I would live in Old San Juan. You dont have to shop there and dont go to the Mc Donalds, Pizza Huts, yukkk! Enjoy our Glorious Island!
