Before Erin joined PuertoRico.com, she served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was stationed in Puerto Rico for five years.
She worked as an Emergency Management Specialist, coordinating with the island’s local port partners to develop contingency plans and exercises. Erin also worked onboard a San Juan-based Coast Guard patrol boat.
She participated in the response to Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and her unit delivered over 25 tons of relief supplies to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
During her time onboard, she circumnavigated Puerto Rico and visited several other Caribbean islands.
Erin still lives in Puerto Rico and is a full-time graduate student at Emerson College.
