Tree has visited Puerto Rico as a tourist many times, but finds her work experience in the recovery and rebuilding phase after Hurricane Maria most impactful.
Moved by the vast devastation on the island, Tree was inspired by the resiliency of the Puerto Rican people under seemingly unimaginable conditions. This ignited a fire for experiencing all things Puerto Rico, and learning more about the culture and its people.
She now visits Puerto Rico at every chance she gets. Her writing contributions are from the perspective of a traveler who understands what it is like traveling from outside the island seeking the best of what Puerto Rico has to offer.
