  • El Nuevo Día states more than 1,000 Percocet pills were recovered during the same operation

Early morning raid

Agents from the División de Inteligencia of the Negociado de Fuerzas Unidas executed a search warrant early Thursday, Oct. 15, at a residence on Ramón Mirada street in the Hato Tejas neighborhood of Bayamón. Primera Hora reported that the operation targeted the alleged illegal sale of controlled medications, including Percocet, which was reportedly being delivered from the front of the house.

The couple living there, a 55-year-old man and his 60-year-old wife, were detained. Primera Hora said the man held a current firearms carry license, although not all of the seized weapons were registered to him. The lieutenant in charge of the division stated that the pair had illegal weapons and were operating an unauthorized delivery service for the medication.

Items recovered

According to Primera Hora, officers seized approximately 500 Percocet pills, four handguns (two .40 caliber and two 9 mm), magazines, two AK-47 rifles and several bags of marijuana. The pills had not been prescribed to anyone, the report added.

El Nuevo Día reported that more than 1,000 Percocet pills were recovered in the same Bayamón operation. No further details on the discrepancy in the number of pills were provided by either outlet.

Where the sources differ

Both outlets describe the same search warrant operation in Hato Tejas, Bayamón, on the morning of Oct. 15, 2026, involving the seizure of Percocet, firearms and marijuana from a couple running an alleged delivery service. Primera Hora reported approximately 500 Percocet pills while El Nuevo Día reported more than 1,000. Primera Hora provided details on the couple’s ages, the man’s firearms license, the specific types of weapons, the lieutenant’s comments and the planned referral to prosecutors and possibly the DEA. El Nuevo Día’s available content was limited to a photo gallery caption and did not include those specifics.

What the reports do not say

The reports do not state how customers contacted the couple, the origin of the Percocet pills, the exact quantity or street value of the marijuana seized, whether any clients or additional suspects were identified, or the precise time the raid began. No information is given on whether the couple made any statements to police or if children or other adults were present in the home.
