Vivo Beach Club is a beach club, not a hotel: it sits right on the sand at the Isla Verde public beach (Balneario de Isla Verde) in Carolina, a few minutes from San Juan and the airport. Buy a day pass or rent a cabana for the pool, the oceanfront jacuzzi and beach service, or just come to eat and drink. Ocean Lab Brewing Co. pours its Puerto Rican craft beer here, alongside cocktails and casual food. After dark, the open-air stage hosts concerts, DJ nights and festivals; The Wailers and Lunay are among the acts that have played it. There's also Alaire, a resortwear boutique, memberships for regulars, and event spaces for weddings and company parties. Guests of the Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde get access through their hotel's destination fee, with a five-minute shuttle.
