Saturday's results
The Gigantes de Carolina stayed as the only undefeated team in the 2026-27 season of the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente with a 5-4 extra-inning victory over the Leones de Ponce at Estadio Francisco “Paquito” Montaner. NotiCel reported the game was tied 3-3 after nine innings and the tiebreaker rule was used with a runner starting on second base.
Miguel Pabón began the 10th on second, Adrián Rodríguez sacrificed him to third and Lisbel Díaz hit a two-run home run for the win. Alexander Castro (1-0) earned the victory in relief while Gabriel Rodríguez (0-1) took the loss. Ponce fell to 1-3. El Vocero reported the Leones had taken a 1-0 lead in the first on a sacrifice fly by Austin Murr.
In the other Saturday game, the Cangrejeros de Santurce defeated the Indios de Mayagüez 10-5 to improve to 2-2 while Mayagüez dropped to 1-3. Isan Díaz drove in the first run for the Indios with a double in the first inning. Santurce answered with a single by Juan Centeno and a two-run homer by Anthony García to lead 3-1 after the first. Both outlets reported the score reached 4-2, 7-3 and finally 10-3 before Mayagüez scored twice in the ninth.

Pitching and late drama
Keylan Killgore (1-0) earned the win for Santurce after allowing one run in one-third of an inning of relief. Eddie Demurias (0-1) took the loss after giving up five runs in 3 2/3 innings. In the ninth, Mayagüez manager Martín “Machete” Maldonado used three pinch hitters against Dereck Rodríguez; the move loaded the bases before Adam Zembrowski singled in two runs to make it 10-5. El Vocero reported Brian Rey had a double and a single that drove in two runs for Santurce.
For the Gigantes, Chris Kachmar started and Japanese pitchers Kyohei Yamashiro and Keito Matsuura kept Ponce off the scoreboard until the sixth. Abimelec Ortiz singled to tie the game at 1-1 in the sixth. The game remained close until the 10th. NotiCel reported this was Carolina's fourth straight win.
Where the sources differ
El Vocero and NotiCel agree on all final scores, win-loss records, key home runs by Anthony García and Lisbel Díaz, and pitching decisions. Both describe the same sequence of runs in the Santurce-Mayagüez game and the use of the tiebreaker rule in the Carolina-Ponce contest. NotiCel's second article adds Friday results including a 21-7 win by Caguas over Ponce and an 8-7 win by Mayagüez over Santurce on a balk, which are not covered in the Saturday reports. The only minor difference is that El Vocero mentions the weather forecast while NotiCel does not.
What the reports do not say
The reports do not give the attendance at either game, the exact number of hits or pitching lines beyond what is summarized, nor do they state when the next games are scheduled or the full current standings of all six teams after Saturday's play. They also do not mention any injuries.

How we checked this
El Vocero and two NotiCel articles supplied the details on Saturday's two games. The Friday results from the third NotiCel story were not used because the task focused on the most recent action described in the first two sources. All information on home runs, records and win-loss pitchers rests on the two Saturday reports.
