Community and Education Initiatives
The performance continues Amazon's community investments in Puerto Rico. HolaNews reported that in 2025 Amazon Community Engagement worked with Fundación Rimas and Virtus Puerto Rico to expand access to sports, arts and STEM programs for students. The company also supports local entrepreneurs through the comPRa Local store on Amazon, which features Puerto Rican-owned businesses and allows U.S. customers to shop in English or Spanish.
As part of the commitment, Amazon Web Services and the Puerto Rico government announced five new learning paths under AWS Entrena Puerto Rico. The initiative seeks to provide digital skills training to 50,000 people by 2028, Yahoo reported. The series previously featured artists including Kings of Leon, Benson Boone, Jelly Roll, Sech and Tim McGraw. Its Puerto Rico edition launched in May with Yandel.
Where the sources differ
HolaNews and Yahoo published nearly identical articles from the same EFE wire report on Oct. 22, 2026. Both sources agree on the Oct. 24 performance date and location, streaming platforms, Jowell & Randy quotes, prior Amazon community work in 2025, the comPRa Local store, Ramón Fragoso's statement, the AWS Entrena Puerto Rico goal of training 50,000 people by 2028, and the series history. There are no factual conflicts between the two reports.
What the reports do not say
The reports do not specify the exact length of the Jowell & Randy performance, whether tickets are required for in-person attendance at the Centro de Convenciones, how many people are expected to attend live, or the cost of the AWS training programs. They also do not detail which specific digital skills will be taught in the five new learning paths or name any government officials involved in the AWS partnership.
