Separate motorcycle crash in Gurabo

In a separate incident on Friday morning, a 35-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision in Gurabo. Primera Hora reported that Miguel Ángel Gómez Martínez, a resident of Gurabo, was riding a 2024 Fengyuan 200 motorcycle on Calle 2 of Parcelas Navarro when he struck the front-left side of a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS driven by a 34-year-old woman in front of house number 83.

El Vocero reported the same details and added that Gómez Martínez was not wearing required safety equipment and did not have a valid driver's license. He suffered injuries to both legs and his hip and was taken to Centro Médico de Río Piedras, where his condition was listed as stable. The case is being handled by the Caguas highway patrol division.

Where the sources differ

All three reports agree on the basic facts of their respective incidents. The two Gurabo crash reports from Primera Hora and El Vocero are nearly identical on the name, age, vehicle details, injuries, hospital and lack of license and safety gear, with only minor differences in wording and that El Vocero names the investigating agent Orlando Valentín and prosecutor Liza Morales while Primera Hora does not. The Aguas Buenas shooting report from Primera Hora stands alone and contains no overlapping information with the crash stories.

What the reports do not say

The reports do not say what time the Aguas Buenas shooting occurred, whether any shots were fired at the restaurant or elsewhere, or if police recovered any shell casings or have leads on who fired the bullet. They also do not indicate whether the Gurabo crash involved any citations for the motorcyclist or the female driver, or what exactly caused the collision.
