Announcement and Tour Details
Puerto Rican singer Wisin announced on Monday that he will bring his 'La Universidad del Perreo' tour to New York for a concert on Dec. 3 at the United Palace. Diario El Mundo reported the show forms part of the promotion for his latest album of the same name, released on Sept. 4.
It follows two concerts scheduled for Nov. 13 and 14 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. RC Noticias reported that the New York date will be the only show of the Universidad del Perreo outside Puerto Rico in 2026. RC Noticias reported Wisin made the announcement through his social networks.

Concept and Collaborations
According to a statement from his representatives cited by Diario El Mundo, the concert will bring 'the energy, the rhythm and the essence of the urban movement' to one of New York's emblematic venues. The production pays homage to the artists, sounds and musical elements that contributed to the international expansion of reggaeton.
Wisin gathered recognized figures of the genre for the album, including Ivy Queen and Don Chezina as pioneers, as well as Jowell & Randy, Franco 'El Gorila', Juanka El Problematik, El Bogueto and Kapo. Diario El Mundo reported that under the concept of 'El decano', Wisin presents the project as a lecture on the history and evolution of the genre.
Where the sources differ
Both sources agree that Wisin announced the Dec. 3 concert at United Palace in New York as the only 2026 show outside Puerto Rico and that it follows two dates at Coliseo de Puerto Rico. Diario El Mundo gives more details on the album's Sept. 4 release date, the full list of featured artists and a statement from representatives. RC Noticias adds that presale begins Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. via social media registration and quotes Wisin saying 'Llegó el momento de las clases presenciales' and that New York was one of the first cities to support the proposal. RC Noticias published one day earlier and frames the PR concerts with slightly ambiguous phrasing but overall context treats all dates as upcoming.
What the reports do not say
The reports do not give ticket prices, exact capacity of the United Palace, whether the Nov. 13-14 San Juan shows are sold out, or details on how many tickets will be available in the New York presale. They also do not mention any opening acts for the New York date or whether the full album collaborators will appear on stage.

How we checked this
Diario El Mundo and RC Noticias both covered Wisin's announcement of the New York concert as the sole 2026 international date for 'La Universidad del Perreo'. Most album and artist background rests on the Diario El Mundo report while presale information comes solely from RC Noticias.
