Power and water outages in Puerto Rico
Where to see customers without power in real time, who announces load-shedding and water cuts, and the latest from our news desk.
Electricity
Who does what
LUMA Energy runs transmission and distribution: if the power is out on your street, that is LUMA. Genera PR runs the former PREPA power plants; when generation falls short, rotating load-shedding (relevos de carga) is announced.
We do not copy LUMA's map figures: we link straight to the source so you see the current number.
Water
Water service
The Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA, or PRASA) posts service interruptions and rationing plans when reservoirs drop.
