Fajardo is a popular vacation destination located on the north-east side of Puerto Rico.

There are many tours to experience here, such as the bioluminescent bay tour and guided rainforest tour.

I’ve been living in Puerto Rico for 14 years and frequently visit Fajardo for weekend getaways.

In this article, I will cover the 13 best tours & excursions in Fajardo, Puerto Rico:

1. Laguna Grande Bio Bay tour

Puerto Rico is home to three different bioluminescent bays

Fajardo is lucky to have one of these bio bays: Laguna Grande Bioluminescent Bay.

Experiencing bioluminescence in Puerto Rico is one of the most magical experiences you can have on your trip.

When you kayak through a bio bay, you will see millions of bright sparkles in the water. This is a once in a life time experience.

You’ll also learn about the local ecosystem during your guided tour.

Palomino is one of three private islands surrounding Fajardo.

If you’ve previously visited Icacos, it’s worth coming back to Fajardo and checking out the gorgeous island of Palomino.

If you haven’t visited either island, I recommend going on an island-hopping boat tour that will take you to both in one day!

This is an excellent idea if you’re staying in Puerto Rico for a short time. Mainly because most boats don’t go back and forth from the island to the main island.
